The design ensured that staff were equipped with the necessary tools to take responsibility for their own careers.

Programme elements included:

  • Staff took part in focused career development workshops
  • Managers developed their career coaching skills to help provide on- going support and guidance for their staff
  • The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) helped participants to explore career and personal preferences in relation to current and future roles
  • Impact gave on-going feedback to senior management in relation to the key drivers that support long term career development within ABN AMRO in Australia.

The relationships between managers and their staff across the business have become stronger as a result of on- going development discussions. Managers have reported a renewed enthusiasm from staff for the development of their current and future roles within ABN AMRO in Australia.
